Psalm 59

 Psalm 59  June 5th, 2024 Psalm 59  was written at a time when Saul had sent some men to spy on David's house in order to catch him out to kill David. David struggled for peace from an enemy he would rather have been friends with. So, once again David begins by seeking The LORD.  Deliver me from my enemies, O God; be my Fortress against those who are attacking me. Deliver me from evildoers and save me from those who are after my blood. See how they lie in wait for me!  At this point, David had literally done no wrong. He loved The LORD. He served The LORD and served the king. But the king was jealous and acted out in anger.  David specifically asked The LORD not to kill his enemies; verse 11. He asked for justice and that his enemies' lies would be known throughout the kingdom. It's frustrating when you are wrongly accused and you can't do much about it.
