"Get to Steppin"

Nowadays, many of us have a stepping goal. My goal for several years now has been a minimum of 10,000 steps a day.  I recently read that a daily goal of 10,000 steps a day can add up to about 115,000 miles in a lifetime. I thought to myself, well that would depend on your age at the time, wouldn’t it? But 10,000 steps a day for the rest of your life is more than four times around our planet. So, they say; Whoa!  Sadly, many people struggle with walking in general. I personally used to be more adventurous with my walking but now I have been given limitations. Still, I keep on walking.  As much walking as I enjoy doing, I can struggle at times just to walk twenty feet across a room. Not because of any physical limitation but because of stepping out of my shy box.

If it wasn’t for God Given Boldness, I wouldn’t be able to do much of anything. I am an imperfect, insecure, shy, mess of a person. I can sit and talk with kids much easier than with adults.  It’s just who I am.  I don’t know about you, but I need The Lord each and every day just to help me just get past myself.  With school starting this week, I’ve been speaking to my SS school and my grandson about how The LORD can give them the boldness to share His Word. It can be through kindness to others. Helping someone in need.  Praying for those who mistreat us. But, also, knowing when to walk away. There are many ways to shine His Light. And sometimes that just takes walking across a room.  

People are struggling. People need love. People need to know they matter. A kind word. A smile. A text. A card. So many simple ways to share Jesus with others. Listen for that Still Small Voice to lead you in the right direction. Pray for His Boldness to Speak His Word and Shine His Light in this dark world. Step on out in Faith. 

please keep our kiddos in your prayers each and every day. Keep the faculty in your prayers. And treat each other as if it’s your last day on earth. Share Jesus. You just never know. Walk Across That Room!

   Scripture For The Day  December 19, 2023 Luke 19 part 1 "Hide It Under a Bushel? NO!"  And Jesus passed through Jericho. Jericho had a lot of history, even at that time. He Restores My Soul

Scripture For The Day    November 14, 2023 "He Restores My Soul"  Psalm 23- Most of us know this beloved Psalm. The LORD is our Shepherd and we who believe are His Sheep. However in recent years, the label of ‘sheep’ has become a derogatory term. I don’t care. I am so very thankful that I am part of His flock. So, Baa Baa baby. Call me a sheep. I know that I matter to Him just as much as the other sheep in His flock. No more, no less. In His Word, His people are never described as lions. But as meek and dependent sheep that depend upon a Shepherd. I’ll take that any day. Because it’s The Truth. I learned this passage when I was a little girl. But no one took the time to teach me what it meant. So, I was always confused by the first verse” “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Why? I would ask The LORD? Why can’t I ‘want’ You? Aijeleth Shahar

  Scripture For The Day  November 13 th , 2023 "Aijeleth Shahar"  Psalm 22 has David assigning this song to the director of the corporate worship stating it is to be sung or chanted by “Aijeleth Shahar” translated means by the hind of the dawn or “The Deer of The Dawn”. Made me think of how sometimes there are little songs for kids to learn and they often use the tune of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” for them to learn them better. Psalm 22 is a cry of anguish and as per usual a song of Praise. And by the very first verse, we can read words that Jesus Christ, Himself, spoke on The Cross. Jesus often quoted scriptures.  “My God, My God, why hast Thou Forsaken Me? (why art thou so) far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?” You have no idea how deeply this verse spoke to me today. I woke up early this morning thinking of the word Forsake. So, as I type I am asking The LORD, “What are you bringing to my heart today?” to forsake means to abandon or turn against. Mak
