Trust in The LORD and Do Good!

Scripture For The Day  January 11th, 2024 "Delight Yourself In The LORD"  People can be so ‘ugh” at times. Last year, I found myself saying quite often that I was tired of “peopling” and that I was done. You know what I mean? Life is too short for time wasted on junk. And my spirit was about as low as it could get.  I began double-guessing everything about myself. Things I felt, things I said, things I did. I was beating myself up so badly that I was almost too bruised to walk. At least that’s how I felt. But the more I prayed, the more I studied, the more I pulled away from the junk, I began to feel more Peaceful and finished the year with more peace than I had felt all year long.  And that’s all down to The LORD and those closest to me. Over and over in my heart, I could hear His Voice whisper “Just focus on me, Trust me!”. “Do what you are called to do. Love others. Pray for others. And keep your eyes on Me.” Psalm 37 reminds us to keep our eyes focused on The Lord, no mat

Scripture For The Day  January 4th, 2024 "There's A Letter For You"   Recently, I took a short break from Social Media and writing my devotionals. I've been waiting until The Lord pressed it upon my heart to return. This morning is the day. While studying His Word, I was reminded of a conversation I had with my girl this morning regarding Jane Austen. We discussed how when people traveled, it seemed as if their letters could find them wherever they were. I told her, that's because that was their primary communication. They relied on the written word. They relied on word of mouth. When Uncle Bob was visiting the family,  the local postman would be aware or informed. In some areas, unless you were the hoity toity, you had to go pick up your own mail. It was an 'event'. The anticipation was heightened when expecting a letter.  Suitors "made love" with their words in cards and letters. Making Love did not mean sex but courtship.  The "lovers'
