Luke 21 part 2 

Signs of the Times  

 But… now Jesus jumps from the end of Grace to the crucifixion. “But before ALL these, they shall lay hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for MY NAME’S Sake. And you shall be able to use it for a testimony. Every trial is an opportunity to testify for Jesus. Jesus tells them/us to settle it in our hearts that we will be persecuted and not worry about how to deal with it. When we seek The LORD earnestly and diligently, He will give us the words to speak and wisdom of when to speak. Let The Lord do the talking. You will be betrayed by family and friends as well as fellow Christians (brethren). It’s a given. Make sure that you, personally are lined up with The Word of God and let Him do the talking. I’m learning this more and more each and every day. Vs 17 continues “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not a hair of your head perish. None of these things can really harm you. This is a promise of eternal life not physical invincibility. Be Patient! Stay Strong in your faith!

Jesus begins sharing the destruction of Jerusalem that would come about approx. 70 years after His Crucifixion. This is also a dual prophecy for the end as we know it. Jesus often combined the two. There will be signs in the sky, the earth will be distressed, the waves will roar. Men’s hearts will fail them for fear and for looking after the things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. The next verse lets us know that He has been sharing the end “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Jesus began sharing a parable about a fig tree; which is symbolic for the house of Israel. This could be a reference for when Israel became a nation in 1948. Signs of the times have been occurring since the beginning of time. It has all been a journey towards the end. Our job is to stay prepared, no matter what generation we are of. Heaven and earth shall pass away but His Words will never die. Jesus tells us to stay prepared. Be careful of the time we are given. One thing we know for sure is that He IS coming back. It’s not our job to pinpoint when or to fret over it. It’s our job to stay prepared and to share His Love with everyone.

During the day, Jesus would teach at the Temple. At night, He would leave the city and sleep at the Mount of Olives. And every morning the people would gather to hear Jesus preach at the Temple. But soon their devotion changed…

   Scripture For The Day  December 19, 2023 Luke 19 part 1 "Hide It Under a Bushel? NO!"  And Jesus passed through Jericho. Jericho had a lot of history, even at that time. It was a major trading center and there was a wealthy tax collector named Zaccheus who lived and worked there. He heard about Jesus and decided to see for himself. But he was a short man and there were a lot of people traveling with Jesus and a huge crowd lining the street waiting to see Jesus pass by. Less than 15 miles away, Jesus had just raised Lazarus from the dead. He was a rockstar. So, Zaccheus ran up ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Jesus. He Restores My Soul

Scripture For The Day    November 14, 2023 "He Restores My Soul"  Psalm 23- Most of us know this beloved Psalm. The LORD is our Shepherd and we who believe are His Sheep. However in recent years, the label of ‘sheep’ has become a derogatory term. I don’t care. I am so very thankful that I am part of His flock. So, Baa Baa baby. Call me a sheep. I know that I matter to Him just as much as the other sheep in His flock. No more, no less. In His Word, His people are never described as lions. But as meek and dependent sheep that depend upon a Shepherd. I’ll take that any day. Because it’s The Truth. I learned this passage when I was a little girl. But no one took the time to teach me what it meant. So, I was always confused by the first verse” “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Why? I would ask The LORD? Why can’t I ‘want’ You? I Love You and I do ‘want’ You to be with me. It wasn’t until I was much older and studying on my own that I discovered the word ‘want” meant

Aijeleth Shahar

  Scripture For The Day  November 13 th , 2023 "Aijeleth Shahar"  Psalm 22 has David assigning this song to the director of the corporate worship stating it is to be sung or chanted by “Aijeleth Shahar” translated means by the hind of the dawn or “The Deer of The Dawn”. Made me think of how sometimes there are little songs for kids to learn and they often use the tune of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” for them to learn them better. Psalm 22 is a cry of anguish and as per usual a song of Praise. And by the very first verse, we can read words that Jesus Christ, Himself, spoke on The Cross. Jesus often quoted scriptures.  “My God, My God, why hast Thou Forsaken Me? (why art thou so) far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?” You have no idea how deeply this verse spoke to me today. I woke up early this morning thinking of the word Forsake. So, as I type I am asking The LORD, “What are you bringing to my heart today?” to forsake means to abandon or turn against. Mak
