Let Your Light Shine For Jesus 

Getting prepared and pumped up for VBS I began studying more about what it means to Shine The Light of Jesus. The best place to look is always in His Word:

Refer to Philippians 2:14-16

We live in an ever-increasing dark world. It’s so frightening and depressing at times when I stop and truly see the depths that the enemy is reaching and the ground he is gaining. It's heart-wrenching. This world praises and even encourages sinful lifestyles to the point that I have to remind myself that I am not of this world. Christians don’t belong here. We are just passing through. We have literally fallen into the rabbit hole in which things are topsy turvy; good is bad and bad is good. God tells us that we are not of this world but to be transformed. We aren’t to go along to get along. We are to be different. We are to be peculiar. 

In Romans 13:12-14 He tells us that the night is almost finished. The day is almost here. In other words, it’s the end game people; even more so than when His Word was written. So, Let's Stop doing whatever belongs to the darkness…Cast off the works of darkness, put on the armor of light. Prepare to fight evil with the weapons that belong to the light. Let us walk honestly- Live in the right way. Be Christ-like.

Get out there and Shine His Light. Nowhere in His Word does it say that we are to stay shut off and in our own little world. No one lights a candle just to hide it under a bushel.  Shine His Light for others to see. Why? So that they may see your good works, and Glorify your Father which is in heaven. Refer to Matthew 5:16 To be honest, lately, I feel like my light is barely flickering. But the hubby often reminds me that even a flickering light shines in a dark room.

Guard your tongue- Be careful of what you say. But be careful of what you think as well. Be careful of what you watch. Be careful of what you focus on. Be careful of what you listen to. The enemy is subtle and will distract and confuse us in any way he thinks will work. Encourage others but stand up for the Truth. And remember that even those who are difficult to deal with are still loved by God and He loves them just as much as He loves you; no more, no less. Remember the Golden Rule “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” It’s a lesson I try to teach my SS and my grandchildren quite often. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Love God, Love people. Stand up for The Truth. Stand up and Stand out. *This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.    Scripture For The Day  December 19, 2023 Luke 19 part 1 "Hide It Under a Bushel? NO!"  And Jesus passed through Jericho. Jericho had a lot of history, even at that time. He Restores My Soul

Scripture For The Day    November 14, 2023 "He Restores My Soul"  Psalm 23- Most of us know this beloved Psalm. The LORD is our Shepherd and we who believe are His Sheep. However in recent years, the label of ‘sheep’ has become a derogatory term. I don’t care. I am so very thankful that I am part of His flock. So, Baa Baa baby. Call me a sheep. I know that I matter to Him just as much as the other sheep in His flock. No more, no less. In His Word, His people are never described as lions. But as meek and dependent sheep that depend upon a Shepherd. I’ll take that any day. Because it’s The Truth. I learned this passage when I was a little girl. But no one took the time to teach me what it meant. So, I was always confused by the first verse” “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Why? I would ask The LORD? Why can’t I ‘want’ You? Aijeleth Shahar

  Scripture For The Day  November 13 th , 2023 "Aijeleth Shahar"  Psalm 22 has David assigning this song to the director of the corporate worship stating it is to be sung or chanted by “Aijeleth Shahar” translated means by the hind of the dawn or “The Deer of The Dawn”. Made me think of how sometimes there are little songs for kids to learn and they often use the tune of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” for them to learn them better. Psalm 22 is a cry of anguish and as per usual a song of Praise. And by the very first verse, we can read words that Jesus Christ, Himself, spoke on The Cross. Jesus often quoted scriptures.  “My God, My God, why hast Thou Forsaken Me? (why art thou so) far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?” You have no idea how deeply this verse spoke to me today. I woke up early this morning thinking of the word Forsake. So, as I type I am asking The LORD, “What are you bringing to my heart today?” to forsake means to abandon or turn against. Mak
